At a young age, God called me into the ministry, and for over 40 years I have given my life to the work of God. I have preached revivals and camp meetings and conducted citywide crusades here at home and overseas. Through Jimmy Swaggart Ministries we have sought to use the printed page, radio, and television to get the Gospel out to all of the earth.

Now God has helped us to enlarge this Ministry to include a Bible college and seminary as a center for World Evangelism. With God's continued help and anointing, this college and seminary is preparing and sending forth Spirit-anointed pastors, evangelists, teachers, missionaries, and other Christian workers and administrators. We believe God is helping us develop a unique and distinctive program that is a powerful force for Him in these latter days.

This is not the typical Christian college and seminary. It is distinctive and unique in a number of ways. As you read this catalog, we trust you will see the vision, catch the excitement, and understand the distinctives.

Many choice people, people who are called and anointed by the Holy Spirit, will join us as classes open. We welcome your interest and trust you will be among that number.

PURPOSE OF WEBC&S

The founding of a Bible college to prepare young men and women for an in-depth, Spirit-filled ministry has been Brother Swaggart's dream for a number of years. He has felt such an institution will play an important role in evangelizing the world as the coming of Christ draws near.

"We don't have much time left," says Brother Swaggart. "We must do everything within our power to reach a lost and dying world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. All our energies and all of our resources must be utilized in this battle we're waging for men's souls. That includes equipping young men and women to carry on until Jesus calls us home."

As a result of this vision, WEBC&S opened in the fall of 1984, and the seminary opened in the fall of 1988.

The goal of WEBC&S is to build students into kind of men and women God wants them to be. From its doors the college is sending missionaries, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to all the world.

The entire lifestyle of WEBC&S is based on a scriptural foundation. This life-style is stressed in each class, and a daily walk with Christ is emphasized in every facet of each individual's life who is associated with the college.

WEBC&S accepts only those students who feel God's call upon their lives to prepare them to go into the harvest fields that "are white already to harvest" (John 4:35).
