God is great! What a camp! 2019 International Kids’ Conference was a huge success. How do I define success? Well, from the beginning of the first service on Wednesday night until the end of the last altar call on Saturday night, we saw children and adults come to the altar to receive from the Lord. For a children’s pastor, that defines a successful conference.

Justified By Faith, Justified By The Blood
The theme for this year’s International Kids’ Conference was “Justified by Faith, Justified by the Blood,” taken out of Romans 5:1 and 5:9. By God’s grace, the vilest of sinners can be declared righteous through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. God did not declare us justified because there was a lack of evidence against us or because of a technicality. He declared us righteous because we received an imputed righteousness when we asked Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Saviour.

Praise And Worship
The anointing of the Holy Spirit flowed upon and through our worship team. The Salvation Station worship team under the leadership of James Smith and Pastor Justin Reese blessed us with a new song written by the Salvation Station worship team. There was not one person sitting down during this song or the rest of the anointed songs led by this team.

Anointed Music
The Salvation Station Worship Team, under the leadership of James Smith and Pastor Justin Reese, operated under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. From the beginning of the first musical note, both children and adults worshipped the Lord with all of their hearts.

Preaching The Word
We had a great team of pastors bringing the Word at this conference. Whether it was David Cavazos, Mario Nash, Jonathan Steele, Angela Schneiderman, or me, the Holy Spirit moved in the preaching of the Word and inspired the object lessons. It certainly was not hard to keep the attention of the kids or the adults in attendance. My thanks to these pastors and the many who worked so hard in preparing for and overseeing this year’s IKC.

Altar Calls
When the children were told that the altars were opened, they wasted no time coming to the front. This has become the norm for all of our services during the International Kids’ Conferences. We saw children of all ages become children of God, receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and draw closer to God as some of these children stayed at the altars seeking God.

Filled With The Holy Spirit
Night after night we saw children and adults receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. Many received for the first time while others received a refilling. We saw children receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit as presented in Acts 2 and then turn to boys and girls around them to pray for them to receive. Some children would lay hands on adults. Praise God for the boldness of a child yielding to the moving of the Holy Spirit!

Fun Way To Learn About Jesus
Salvation Station’s International Kids Conference is the fun way to learn about Jesus. Children worshipped, learned, and spent time at the altar, but they also enjoyed fun events throughout the conference.

A Record Number Of Participants
We had a record number of participants at this year’s IKC. It seems that the testimonies of previous conferences moved more and more families to make IKC a part of their summer, and, more importantly, a part of the children’s spiritual growth.

Next Year
What about next year? We are growing year by year. We have already started working on what needs to be done to make next year’s International Kids’ Conference bigger and better. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of work, and a lot of workers to put on such a conference. Most of the children told us of their intentions to return next year, and some would never dream of missing IKC.
