International Kids Conference 2014

MORE THAN 330 CHILDREN, aged 5 to 12, who were joined by parents and grandparents, filled the Crossfire auditorium on the campus of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for the 2015 International Kids Conference (IKC). The theme of this year’s conference, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever” drew children and their families from 14 different states and Canada.

Family Worship Center Children’s Pastor Mike Muzzerall IKC 2015and his wife, Ana, said from the first night of the four-day conference that the kids were full of anticipation and determination to receive from the Lord. “The Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way,” Pastor Mike said. “During the Friday night service, the altar call went 50 minutes. We had kids saved and filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking with other tongues. Children were praying for each other to be healed and for their families to be saved.”

This year’s IKC opened Wednesday, June 3, with tag-team preaching between Pastor Gabriel Swaggart and Pastor Mike. Other ministers throughout the conference included Mario Nash, Scott Corbin, and Grace Brumley. Pastor Mike said that teaching kids the Message of the Cross will help them understand, at a young age, how to walk in relationship with Christ and not in religion. “I tell the kids that it’s not so much asking the popular question of ‘What would Jesus do?’ What we want them to believe and understand is the importance of what Jesus has already done.”
