From me to you by Jimmy Swaggart

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!
Of course, I’m talking about Frances. Her birthday is August 9 and that’s as far as I’m going with that.
I personally believe Frances is one of the most influential people in the world. I realize that is quite a statement, but I believe it to be true. I say this for two reasons: first of all, her faith in God, and second, the influence of her television program, which covers a great part of the world.

I can say the following without fear of contradiction: Frances is the best thing that has ever happened to me other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

Once again, Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!

World Evangelism

The Lord called me to world evangelism when I was eight years of age. Of course my knowledge then of what world evangelism was, was extremely limited, as would be understandable. About all I knew respecting world evangelism were missionaries. I had no idea of television, for that had not yet been brought about to the American public. Of course, the Lord knew. That’s our calling. That’s what God has designed that we do. And you are a part of it, even an integral part.

I Feel Like The Lord Is Getting Ready For Something Big

When I say big, I’m speaking of the entirety of the world. The other day I was praying about this very same thing, world evangelism, and the part that God has called us to play in this all-important effort. The Lord brought back to me a time in my life when I was just beginning. The year was 1957. I had quit my job, and was going out into full-time evangelistic work. But the situation was, I had no meetings. As I stated, I was very discouraged. And when I went to prayer that afternoon, I was calling on the Lord out of desperation. Frances and Donnie had gone somewhere and I was left alone.

As I began to seek the Lord about meetings, all of a sudden the Lord brought to my mind a little chorus that we had learned just a few weeks before. It said:

My Lord is able, He is able,
I know that He is able,
I know my Lord is able to carry me through.
For He has healed the brokenhearted,
Made the blind to see,
Healed the sick and raised the dead,
And walked upon the sea;
My Lord is able, He is able,
Oh yes I know that He is able,
I know my Lord is able to carry me through.

All of a sudden, as I quoted the words of that little chorus, the Spirit of God moved upon my heart greatly so. I knew the Lord was telling me that He would make a way, which He did.

Then, in prayer just a few days ago, I was praying about world evangelism, and our part that God has called us to play in this all-important event.

Then the Lord brought back to my mind that prayer session back in 1957. He brought back to my mind that chorus and His Spirit literally covered me, and then He said to me, “Son, my answer to you today is the same as it was in that day of 1957. Then you were asking Me for meetings in any sized church. It made no difference how small it was. Now you are asking Me for the world. My answer to you is the same today as it was then, ‘I am able.’” As I literally began to sob before the Lord, I knew that He had spoken to my heart.

He Is Able

I believe we’re on the verge of seeing the greatest harvest of souls the world has ever witnessed or experienced. I feel it in my spirit; I feel it in my heart.

The real reason I write these words, is because as God called me, He has called you as well. You must understand that. You are called of God to help touch this world. Whether it’s only $20 a month, or whatever. Irrespective, your prayer for us, asking God to help us, is extremely beneficial. Please don’t forget that. You are an integral part of what God is now doing.

Thank you again for what you are doing, and what you shall do.
