December 2018 Christmas Yes, it’s going to be here before you know it. And let me put a bug in your ear, so to speak. The products that we offer in this issue of The Evangelist, or any issue, are some of the best of their kind, we think, in the world. In other words, these items—whether Bibles, music, books, etc.—would make the greatest Christmas gifts ever, and, with Christ in Christmas, they would be something useful—that we promise! So why not do a lot of your Christmas shopping now, get it done, get it out of the way, and get something worthwhile? You I’m speaking of the scores of you who come by Family Worship Center to visit with us on whatever Sunday, and how glad we are to have you. We have people literally from all over the world who visit Family Worship Center. I hope they enjoy being with us as much as we enjoy having them, and I know that they do. Thank You I am speaking of the thousands and thousands of you who support the work on a monthly or even a weekly basis. Without you, we simply could not do what God has called us to do. So, for me to say thank you seems to be woefully insufficient, but I know that what you do, you do for the Lord. Testimonies I’m glad I can say that we are getting more mail, more emails, more letters, and more phone calls telling us of lives being changed, souls being saved, and believers being baptized with the Holy Spirit in greater numbers than ever before. And yet, it’s still not enough. For everyone who says yes to the Lord, there are scores of others who do not do so. I’m sure that you know what I’m talking about. However, at the same time, I believe that we are on the verge of the greatest move of God that the world has ever known before. I believe it is going to be a harvest of unprecedented proportions. I believe the Lord has told me that. A New Cable System I want to welcome Mediacom, which reaches more than 600,000 homes. We are so pleased and honored to be on this network that covers a part of this nation, and we pray God’s richest blessings upon the managers and proprietors of this cable system. We won’t rest until we reach every home in America. We are airing now in about 90 million homes in this nation, and more than 300 million in foreign countries. That’s not counting satellites, because we have no way to know how many they reach, but to be frank, they reach almost the entirety of the world, at least for those who desire the gospel. Expositor’s Study Bible How so much I thank you for helping us put The Expositor’s Study Bible into the hands and hearts of every Third World pastor and worker in the world today. With your help, we have distributed approximately 1.7 million Bibles. How much I thank you, and how much I thank the Lord. I personally believe that this is at least one of, if not the greatest, missions works in the world today. No, I don’t back up from saying that because I believe it’s true. To give a Bible to anyone is a blessing, but the Expositor’s is almost like giving them a Bible and a library. In other words, they will understand the Word of God as never before, and that’s what it’s all about. At the present time, we are distributing approximately 30,000 to 35,000 Bibles a month. We desperately need to raise that to 50,000 Bibles a month, so please pray about what the Lord would want you to do. Someone asked me a short time ago, “Can I use my tithe to purchase Bibles?” Of course you can! There’s no greater place to put your tithe than by placing The Expositor Study Bible into the hands of Third World pastors and workers. I don’t know what people think, that there has to be a building to pay their tithe. Not so; it’s the work of God. So, irrespective as to what you do and how you do it, let’s do the best we can to increase this number of Bibles up to 50,000. I know it’s possible, and I know that God will bless you abundantly so.
