June 2017 THE MESSAGE I personally believe of all the things that are happening in the world, and I speak of everything, that the Message of the Cross, is the single most important thing on the face of the earth. I definitely believe that this is what the Holy Spirit is presently saying to the churches. Please note the following: The early church actually began with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. A short time later, approximately 10 or 12 years, the Lord gave the meaning of the new covenant to the apostle Paul, which was the meaning of the Cross, which Paul gave to us in his 14 epistles. This was the complete gospel. Now it has come full circle. With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the turn of the 20th century, millions have been baptized with the Spirit, and in 1997 the Lord began to once again open up the Message of the Cross. As stated, it has come full circle. As it was the single most important thing on the face of the earth during the time of Paul, likewise I believe it is the single most important thing in the world presently. YOUR INVOLVEMENT As I have said many times before, and I would hope that you read my words carefully, your calling is the same as mine. The way it is done is different, but as far as the call itself, it is the same. It comes from the Lord, and it has come to me to take this message to the world. But I cannot do it without you. This is where the similarities come in. This is the way the Lord has designed this approach. He calls some to take the message, and He calls others to prayerfully and financially support it (Rom. 10:14-15). “And how shall they preach, except they be sent?” God has called us to do the preaching, and He has called you to do the sending. It is just that simple. One calling is dependent on the other, and neither one is more important than the other. THE FALL OF MAN The heading is the title of our newest book. It’s a little different than our other books; in that it deals with subject matter we have not heretofore dealt with. I speak of evolution and creationism, which goes into detail as it regards this particular book. Then it deals with the fall of man. Why did Adam and Eve fall? Is there any record that either one came back to God? I think this book will furnish tremendous information to you regarding the Word of God, and as well, it will be, we think, so interesting that you won’t want to put it down. When we received them in our warehouse, I immediately got a copy and started reading it, and just about didn’t quit until I had finished the entire book. It was and is that interesting, and I believe it will be that to you also. So I would urge you, whatever you do, get a copy of The Fall of Man. The book is hardcover and over 200 pages (09-144). Of course as you know, the Portuguese is for the country of Brazil, with the Spanish covering all of Central and South America, with the exception of Brazil. A PERSONAL INVITATION This summer, while you’re on vacation, if possible, why don’t you swing by Baton Rouge and be with us in service at Family Worship Center? It just seems like the services are getting better and better, that is if such is possible. This one thing I believe, when you come, you will know you have been to church, and we will be so happy to have you. The Sunday morning service begins at 10 a.m. with the Sunday night service beginning at 6 p.m. The Wednesday night service begins at 7 p.m. And of course, the campmeetings are a world of their own. In other words, we think you’ve never quite been to church until you attend a campmeeting at Family Worship Center. Some of the greatest music and singing in the world, and preaching that will lift up Jesus Christ and make Him real to your heart and life. It’s a little bit of heaven on earth. So make your plans to be with us if at all possible. PRAY FOR THE PRESIDENT I should say that we must pray for the president, his family, and all the members of his Cabinet. There were enough Evangelicals at this time that were interested enough in this past election that this man was elected. And I personally believe that this has been, and is, a move of God. In other words, I believe the Lord is giving America one more chance. I cannot understand how anyone who calls himself or herself born again could vote for someone that advocates abortion. That’s a complete mystery to me; but unfortunately it seems that some manage to do so. When it comes to voting for a candidate, the believer should do one’s best to ascertain what that candidate stands for. And then about the best that can be done is to vote for the one that you feel is closer to the Word of God. Admittedly, you won’t find much similarity there; however, this is the best way that the believer can face the situation. And incidentally, any Christian who thinks that he would just not vote because the whole thing is crooked, etc., such a person is doing freedom a disservice. I personally believe that it is mandatory spiritually and biblically speaking, for every single believer to cast the ballot in elections. A tremendous price has been paid for the freedoms we now have. And for those freedoms to be ignored, while we refuse to vote, is tantamount to the giving of freedoms to the Devil himself. Every Christian should avidly seek the Lord about the person for which he would cast his ballot. And then we should not fail to vote. That goes for all the local elections, and as well those on a national scale. I’ll say it again: It seems that most believers, whom we will refer to as Evangelicals, understood the significance of this last election, and thereby voted. In fact, that’s what elected President Trump. This is a habit we don’t want to break. And then again, pray for those who are in authority over us. There are powerful forces of evil in this nation that would like to do the president harm, which I think is overly obvious. But we must not forget that this is a spiritual battle moreso than anything else. Consequently, it is only believers, and Spirit-filled believers at that, who can roll back the clouds of darkness. We do so with our faith and with our prayerful intercession. It is still: “If My people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chron. 7:14).
