From Me to You: March 2025

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Thank you for all of your kind remarks and well wishes, and I’m speaking of the 90th birthday of this evangelist. I know that the Lord is going to give us enough time to finish this course, and I’m speaking of touching the world for Christ. So again, thank you for your thoughtfulness and your kindness.

A long time ago, God spoke the following words to a great warrior: “Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed” (Josh. 13:1). I believe the Lord has said almost the same words to me: “You are old and stricken in years, but there remains yet many more souls to be saved.” I praise the Lord for that. In one sense of the word, I feel like my best days are yet ahead. I say that because of what God has called us to do, and I speak of world evangelism. I believe the greatest moving of the Spirit, as it regards salvation of souls, is still just ahead.

WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR ME

These days, when I meet with ministers or visitors at Family Worship Center, they are gracious, kind, and quick to tell me how much this ministry means to them and that whatever we’ve done regarding the work of God, how it has blessed countless others. I appreciate their kind words, I really do. But the truth of the matter is, I don’t look at what I’ve done for Him. I look at what Hehas done for me. Every person who has given their heart to the Lord can say the same thing, “Look what He’s done for me.”

I remember a meeting that we conducted years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, at Pastor Jimmie Mayo’s church. It was a Sunday night, if I remember correctly, and we had a great crowd of people there. When I gave the altar call, there was a tremendous response. I don’t know how many—twenty, thirty, maybe fifty—came for salvation; maybe even more than that. And, I noticed a young man there at the altar. He was sobbing so much that his shoulders were shaking. I went and knelt down beside him, and the quiet, back-and-forth conversation between me and him went something like this:

“Are you saved?”
“No, Brother Swaggart, I’m not saved.”
“Well, it’s time now to rectify that situation and give your heart to Christ.”
“But I don’t believe God will accept me.”
“Why would you say such a thing?”
“I’ve just been released from prison.”
“What were you there for?”
“I was there for murder. I killed a man. He was on his knees, begging me not to shoot him, pleading for his life, but I killed him anyway. I can still see his face, and I can’t get over it. I don’t think God would forgive someone like me.”

I said to that young man, “What you did was a terrible thing, admittedly, but the Lord will forgive you. He will give you mercy. He will cleanse you from that terrible sin that you committed when you murdered that man in cold blood. The Lord will forgive you.”

I prayed the sinner’s prayer with him, and I remember seeing his shoulders shake as that young man cried out to God, “Have mercy on me!”

Some might ask, “Brother Swaggart, would the Lord really forgive someone such as that?” Oh yes, yes, He would. Praise God.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

We say it so often because it’s true—we could not do what we’re doing regarding the work of God without your help. Specifically, we need from you the following:

 • Your faith. I want you to believe God with me that He will do great and mighty things. I need your faith.

 • Your prayers. I need for you to pray for us, even on a daily basis. I know that some few of you are intercessors, and I depend on you to help roll back the tides of darkness.

 • Your financial support. I need for you to give of your financial resources as the Lord would lead you to do so. In fact, for multiple thousands of you, Family Worship Center is your church, and to be sure, we are glad to have you. So I’m asking you to support it as you would any other church, and even more so because of our worldwide effort.

• Tell others about SonLife Broadcasting Network. It would be and will be one of the greatest things that you would do for anyone.

SATURDAY PRAYER MEETINGS

All that we are seeing take place now, I believe, is the reason why the Lord put it on my heartsome time back to begin a worldwide prayer meeting. These take place every Saturday at 9 a.m. (CT), and we invite you to take part. For those of you who don’t live locally and can come in person, we encourage you to pray with us during this designated time from wherever it is that you live. Join your faith with ours as we seek the Lord together for souls to be saved around the world.

ARE YOU COMING TO CAMP MEETING?

The dates are April 16-20. And please understand, these camp meetings are getting better and better—a little bit of heaven on earth. And I believe this one coming up is going to be the best ever—with music, singing, and worship as never before. The preaching and teaching of the gospel will lift up Christ and what He did for us on Calvary’s cross, to portray Him for who and what He actually is. You won’t want to miss this, so if it’s at all humanly possible, come and be with us!

TESTIMONIES

How thankful we are for the many hundreds of emails, letters, telephone calls, and testimonies that we receive each and every month from people all over the world. The testimonies vary from deliverance from particular bondages to salvation for the soul, which of course, is the most important thing that could ever happen to anyone and, as well, of believers being baptized with the Holy Spirit. And, I must not forget, the Lord still heals, and we get the testimonies of healings of every nature, for which we give the Lord all of the praise and all of the glory. If the Lord has done something wonderful in your life, and no doubt He has, I would sure like to hear about it.

In the Master’s service, yours,
Jimmy Swaggart
